This site represents a journey; a collection of my experiences and explorations as an artist. This journey is ongoing. If you have gained something from your time here, please feel free to contribute to the continuation of this work.

My ideal vision is an exchange of experience, emotion, and expression in return for support and encouragement. Many of my best ideas aren't commercial but they do require funds to realize – join me in making them a reality.

I will document my journey, my process, my life and my art and put it out into the world. Whether you become a collector of my work or a sponsor of my career I am excited to share this journey with you.

ABOUT ME:

In 2006, I quit my dayjob and have been selling my art internationally ever since. I'm currently based out of Southern California, but I'm looking to expand my resume to include shows and events all over the world.

I am inspired by stars, sunsets, tropical beaches, humidity, coloring books, crayons, glo-worms and lite-brites, the Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade, Jules Verne, The Science Channel, ancient technology and civilizations, the study of the universe, spirituality, stained glass windows, sea glass, telescopes, down-tempo music, Zen wisdom, rainbows, fireflies, water and light.

ABOUT MY ART: My work is Light Reactive.

I paint Thin Spaces, which describe moments in which it feels as though something more profound is happening than just what you see with your eyes, beyond the boundaries of time, space, and reality.

I use Light as a medium, along with acrylic, beach sand, glass, crushed sea shells, and candle wax. Each painting is meditative, and changes appearance throughout the day, season, and year. My art is also light reactive into the UV spectrum and will continue to glow in the darkness.

Why circles? Atoms, molecules, planets and stars, the cycles of time, and the universe itself all exist within a circle, radiating outward, with no beginning or end. In Zen, every circle is unique, and can be seen as the fingerprint of the artist who created it. Some hold that a Zen circle is the depiction of enlightenment itself.

Each painting of mine is a labor of love that takes months to complete. I enjoy the chaos of creation, and tend not to practice techniques before using them. I prefer to savor the process and see where each decision leads me, both suffering from and celebrating the results. It's a fascinating experience for me.
